The representatives of the Centre for Information and Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education held a workshop at the University of Bihać on 9 March 2017.
Beside the representatives of the University of Bihać, the workshop was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Una-Sana Canton. The workshop is the first step, in series of activities, which the University of Bihać in cooperation with the Centre for Information and Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education has undertaken related to an improvement of recognition procedures of foreign higher education qualifications as well as a facilitation of academic, student and labor force mobility.
The aim of the workshop was that academic staff at the University of Bihać, dealing with recognition issues, that is nostrification and equivalence of educational documents, become more familiar with the recognition of foreign higher education qualifications in accordance with the Convention of the Council of Europe/UNESCO on Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education in the European Region it is subsidiary documents as well as other documents within European Area of Recognition (EAR).
At the end of the workshop, it was concluded, it is necessary to intensify activities related to harmonization of legislation concerning recognitionof foreign higher education qualifications in the Una-Sana Canton. The competent Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Una-Sana Canton can expect all necessary support in these acitivities from the Centre, Furthermore, harmonization of legislation is in direct link to achived results of the project Strengthening of Internationalization in B&H Higher Education (STINT project), funded by the Erasmus+ EU program, in which the Centre and University Bihać are participating.
