On 15 and 16 March 2018, a representative of the Centre for Information and Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education participated in the Conference "European Qualifications Framework: Support to Learning, Work and Cross-border Mobility". The conference was held in Brussels, the Kingdom of Belgium, with over 320 participants from Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Trinidad and Tobago and the Republic of South Africa. The conference was held on the occasion of marking the tenth anniversary of the creation of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).

At the same time, six workshops were held on the importance of EQF as a tool for student and worker mobility, making qualifications more transparent and easier to use, linking national qualifications frameworks (NQF) with EQF, links between quality assurance and development of NQF, learning outcomes as a reform tool, and the role of social partners and other stakeholders in the EQF and NQF.

On the second day of the Conference, the following presentations and panel discussions were held:

-          Presentation of the EQF: looking backward and forward; Alison Crabb, Koen Nomden and Jens Bjornavold;

-          Pannel 1.

-          How the EQF can help lifelong learning and flexible learning methods; learning center, Monika Korkoshova, James Calleja and Jenny Shackleton.

-          Pannel 2.

-          How EQF can influence understanding of labor market qualifications and help understanding labor market needs, Maxime Cerutti, Ursula Huws, Thiebaut Weber.

-          Pannel 3.

-          How the EQF can support cross-border mobility for students and workers: the importance of transparency, quality and trust, Louise Coutinho, Fons Leroy, Bryan Maguire.
