4th EU-BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA SAA SUB-COMMITTEE Inovation Brussels 20 02 2020The European Commission welcomed the results of the Project "Strengthening of Internationalisation in B&H Higher Education" (STINT project) and especially the Model of Academic Recognition developed during the Project which was the basis for adoption of the rulebooks on academic recognition at all 8 public universities. The database on professional recognition procedures developed within the Twinning project between Bosnia and Herzegovina as the beneficiary country and Croatia, France and Latvia was also welcomed by the European Commission. The representative of the Centre asks the European Commission for a participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the activities within the Strategic Framework for European Cooperation in education and training - ET 2020, although Bosnia and Herzegovina is not still a candidate country. This would provide Bosnia and Herzegovina with an opportunity to align better its strategic developments with the EU and facilitate the share of experience and practice with the EU member states, EFTA and the candidate countries and would contribute to opening up of education in Bosnia and Herzegovina and increase internationalization. The European Commission will consider this proposal and inform Bosnia and Herzegovina later.
